With the queens birthday in just 3 days time my thoughts turn to how she will celebrate whilst in lockdown at Winsor Castle.  My own birthday is just a few days later so hopefully my family will see this and pick up on a few hints. 

1.  Lets start with Cake!  Every birthday celebration requires cake so how about making a surprise socially distanced visit with a personalised homemade cake? If my own family are reading this, don’t forget it needs to be Gluten Free!

2.  With groups of 6 now being allowed to meet in public places or private gardens how about a small garden party / BBQ!  I think after being isolated with only 2 or 3 people for so long spending time with loved ones is the best possible gift available. 

3.  There are so many Lockdown birthday novelty gifts available which are a fun way to remember the weirdest birthday we are likely to experience.  As a household full of Friends fanatics this Friends inspired t-shirt is my favourite.   Available via Amazon.

4.  You could celebrate with your favourite outdoor activity.  For me this will most definately be a long peaceful child free run.  But other ideas include a family trip to the beach or walk in country. 

5.  You could organise for friends and family to send video messages.  We might not all be able to get togther face to face but a collection of messages will help the birthday girl or boy feel loved and special.
