Whaplode Manor, Lincolnshire 2017 Wedding

The wedding of Mr and Mrs Papworth at Whaplode Manor, Near Spalding, Lincolnshire

I first met Chris at a camera club when I started out in photography, we quickly became firm friends and over time he began helping me out assisting at weddings. Kathryn and Chris have been a couple for as long as I have known Chris and although it was evident that they were a perfect match I never thought he would make an honest woman of her. So, when my Facebook profile popped up with announcements of their engagement just after Christmas this year I was shocked but very delighted for them both. 

I knew straight away what venue they would book as 2 years ago Chris had assisted me at a particularly venue and had said ‘If I ever get married, this is where I would like it to be’, and sure enough only a couple of weeks later Chris called me and asked If I was available to photograph their wedding at Whaplode Manor, near Spalding, Lincolnshire on July 15th. I don’t doubt that Chris and Kathryn had offers from many of our mutual friends to capture their day, so being asked to be their wedding photographer was a real privilege and honour.
