'The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its Blossoms have the hightest power
To sooth my spirit's care.
The bluebell is a true sign of British Springtime. There is something truly magical about a sea of Bluebells covering the woodland floor as far as the eye can see. Every year in preparation for my annual Mini Bluebell Photoshoots I go on the hunt for the best Bluebell woodland around the Bourne, Stamford and Spalding area. There are many Bluebell woodlands around Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, Ferry Meadows in Peterborough has a lovely one, Barnsdale Country Park, in Rutland has another but I prefer to find a more secluded spot, one unspoilt by lots of visitors. I know of several small locations around Lincolnshire that are perfect for peaceful walks or family picnics and I encourage anyone booking a Bluebell Photoshoot with me to enjoy the surrounding area before or after their session.
The need to scout for the best location is a great 'excuse' for me to drag my own children out for our annual Bluebell pictures, and as I have to test the light in several locations I often end up with a large collection to work through. Last year alone we ventured out 3 times and I still haven't edited all the ones I want to keep. This year will be no exception and I can not wait to again capture my children enjoying the British springtime at its finest.
Bluebell Mini Sessions are this year being held the last weekend of April on the 29th and 30th. Sessions last around 20 minutes and are a great opportunity to capture your family in the wonderful British countryside. Each session is £40 and includes 2 digital files for you to download and print at your leisure. You will be given a choice of 10 - 15 images and will have the option to purchase additional images if you wish.
Bluebell Photoshoots in Lincolnshire are always very popular and this year is proving no exception. 18 spaces were made available this year and I currently have just 6 spots remaining. If you are interested in reserving your space for this once a year opportunity please contact me below. The Bluebells are only in flower for around 3 weeks of the year so no alternative dates will be available until 2018.
