Before 2016 draws to a close I still have 2 beautiful weddings to capture. I am very much looking forward to both, each wedding unique and special. Aimee and Paul have a Harry Porter twist for their special day and I can not wait to incorporate that into their wedding photos. Kaylea and Adam are marrying on New Years eve at the White Hart in Lincoln and I am very excited to photograph them seeing in the new year under the fireworks over Lincoln cathedral, the wedding portraits promise to be extra magical.
2016 has been a spectacular year of weddings for me. I am truly blessed to share each and every wedding day with my couples and their families and I love that I have made some life long friends as a result of having the best job in the world. There have been disasters along the way. Sam and Clive's reception in the dark in Wisbech, with no electricity is one to remember, My burst tyre outside Crowland Abbey, Cambridgeshire at Maisie and Mark's wedding (I have never been as thankful as I was at that moment for my amazing assistant Phillipa) and the torrential rain at Dawn and Adam's wedding that looked to disrupt our plans for amazing outdoor wedding pictures with Rutland Water as a superb backdrop (thank goodness for amazing sunsets).
This year has also seen 2 of my wedding images receive awards from The Guild of Photographers. The afore mentioned stunning sunset at Rutland water after the torrential rain being one of the award winning moments. What makes these awards extra special for me, is that the images were created with the sole intention of creating amazing wedding photos for the couples concerned so for them to be of award winning status means i am doing my job to a high standard.
I would like to thank every single couple, past and present that has chosen me to capture their wedding day. Without you I would not be where I am today. I look forward to working with many more amazing couples in 2017 and 2018.
Here are my 2016 wedding photography highlights. Thank you for being part of my photography journey.
