As I’m sure your all aware by now I love Christmas.  I love the magic, the sparkle, the quality time with my family and watching my little ones faces light up with wonder.  It truly is a precious time.  Every year I embark on a Christmas Photoshoot with my own children which is turned into Christmas cards for family members, and every year those family members comment on how nice it is to receive such a personalised card.

Award winning Christmas Photoshoot

This year I am offering something slightly different in the studio.   This year’s Christmas Photoshoot includes 2 extra special images.   The first of which is my award winning magic book images.  Created with a simple setup in the studio and extra sparkle added during the editing process this lovely images captures your children enjoying the delights of a Christmas story against the backdrop of christmas lights.

The second images included within this years Christmas photoshoot is this wonderful magic window scene.  This image is a composite and your children will be photographed against a plain background.   The magic window scene with your children looking up as Santa fly’s past is one of my favourites and looks amazing as a Christmas card for family or even as December if you you create calendars for grandparents each year.

2 Package option

When booking for this year you will be given the option to add an additional 2 images to your shoot.  These to additional images include the window scene but looking out at a cheeky snowman and secondly the wonder of the snow globe.  Every child loves snow globes and their expressions as they marvel in the delight of the falling snow makes for great photos to celebrate the Christmas season.

Wedding Photography – Marriot Hotel, Peterborough

Jake and Beki’s wedding photography had been booked in my diary over 2 years in advance so it was wonderful when their wedding day finally arrived.  They chose The Marriot Hotel in Peterborough as the location for their day, with it’s beautiful gardens this hotel makes a lovely setting for a wedding.

Whilst Beki and her bridesmaids prepared for the day, emotions were a little crazy with bets on who would cry first, I think Beki was the winner.  Emotions continued to run high throughout the day with tears from the father or the bride, the groom and Maid of Honour all being noted and captured on camera as part of the couples wedding photography collection.   I think the speeches finished everyone off (including me) with noticeable some of the best I’ve heard (and I’ve sat through a lot of wedding speeches).

The wonderful summer we have been experiencing this year did not disappoint and the sun shone bright throughout the day meaning the lovely gardens were taken full advantage of for some fun garden games during the reception.  The wonderful weather also allowed us to capture some wonderful wedding photography in the gardens,  a combination of candid and posed photos were captured throughout the day.

I would especially like to thank Mr and Mrs Mckenzie for trusting me when I suggested that they should request that guests took no photos when they left the ceremony or during the first dance.   The professional Wedding Photography is noticeable improved by the absence of phones and cameras, instead these are replaced with smiling emotional guests watching the happy couple.    Beki and Jake, thank you for choosing me to be your wedding photographer, here is your wedding day story.

Autumn Outdoor Family Photoshoot

Autumn Outdoor Family Photoshoot

Autumn Outdoor Family Photoshoot

It is no secret that Autumn is my absolute favourite time of year.  I just love everything about it, the colours, the smells, walking through fallen leaves, conkers,  and the autumn light is a photographers dream.  These reasons are just a few that an Autumn Outdoor Family Photoshoot is a must for every family.  It is the perfect time to update your family photos, with everyone enjoying our beautiful countryside.

Natural, Outdoor, Family Photoshoot

Enjoying an outdoor family photoshoot lends itself well to great natural photographs.  An opportunity to capture the little ones enjoying themselves outside in the sun, laughing, dancing and playing.  Making wonderful memories which I will capture on camera.

Autumn colours are perfect for ensuring your photos compliment your home decor.   The beautiful brown and oranges tones look fantastic  when coordinated with natural or yellows and red clothing.

Outdoor Family Photoshoot Locations

There are many beautiful areas in the Spalding area that are perfect locations for an Autumn family Photoshoot.  The gardens at Springfields shopping outlet being one of my favourites, however a children’s park can make a perfect backdrop too, some of the images displayed here were captured at the park just around the corner from my studio in Whaplode, near Spalding.

Mr and Mrs Burton

Lincolnshire wedding photographer

Danielle and Mark have been clients of mine for a number of years.  I have had the honour of watching their 3 beautiful boys grow up and have provided their Family photography throughout.  When an existing client asks you to be their wedding photographer it is something extra special as you know that they are truly happy with the service and quality of work you deliver.

Mr and Mrs Burton chose to marry at Whaplode Church and enjoyed a reception at Whaplode Manor.  It was wonderful to capture a wedding in my local village church, the first I have had the privilege of doing since moving to Whaplode 18 months ago.  It really is a beautiful church.

The wedding ceremony was one of the most emotional I have captured to date, with Mark being the first in tears, quickly followed by Danielle and no doubt many of the guests.  Tears truly were a theme of the day with another round following during the heartfelt speeches later in the evening.  So much laughter throughout the day too, especially when the cheeky flowergirl decided to give each of the groomsman a smack on the bum for flashing their pants!

The amazingly hot summer we are experiencing this year ensured that Danielle and Mark had a gloriously sunny wedding and allowed us to make use of the amazing gardens both at Whaplode Church and Whaplode Manor to create both formal and natural wedding photography for them to treasure in years to come.

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Burton and all their guests for making me feel so welcome,  Here is a little preview of your wedding photography collection which will follow shortly.

Mr and Mrs King Wedding Photography

Whaplode Manor, Spalding, Lincolnshire

Vicki and James King have spent 17 years as a couple before getting married in June at the beautiful Whaplode Manor  in near Spalding, Lincolnshire.  It was a pleasure to do their wedding photography and to share and capture their perfect wedding day.    The day was filled with unbelievable love and laughter all day long and the 7 bridesmaids certainly kept me entertained with their antics during the morning preparations.

The day was scorching hot and Vicki must have been melting in her stunning wedding dress but this did not stop the laughter and tears flowing.   Sweet William the ring-bearer had everyone in stitches during the ceremony when he started to recite the vowels and the speeches were truly memorable, I’ll admit to shedding a few tears of laughter behind my camera.

Mr and Mrs King had opted for a wedding package which included a pre-wedding shoot which meant that by the time we got to work on their bridal portraits they were experts at following my guidance.  I think even James (who hates his photo being taken) did a fantastic job of posing for his wedding photos.    Hopefully James will agree that the pre-wedding shoot helped him to feel more relaxed and confident during the more formal portraits created as part of their wedding photography package.

Both Vicki and James wanted to ensure their were lots of natural candid photographs to help tell the story of their day, these were easy to capture with the delightful relaxed and happy wedding guests, lots of laughs, tears and  happy moments captured on camera throughout the day.

I’d also like to thank Emma from Little Cherubs photography for being a fantastic second shooter and helping to create some stunning wedding photography in the beautiful hay bale field opposite Whaplode Manor, and thank you to James and Vicki for trusting me when I suggested heading into the field.

Mr and Mrs King thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding photography.  Here are some highlights of their magical day.
